Travel

When this word comes to mind, it relates to many thoughts such as, a journey to a lot of unknowns: an unknown area, society, people and route. First of all we should understand why we need to travel, what we are going to achieve from a travel. The very basic thought of travel is the result of mind which generates the thoughts of adventure: travel and exploring new things or areas are an adventure in itself.
Travel gives lot of direct and indirect learning to an individual. Traveler is introduced to life skills like planning, budgeting, coordination, adaptability, self-control and many more aspects of life.

A traveler on his voyage learns beyond the texts. Travel takes the traveler to the history, geography, economics, culture, traditions and beliefs, new regulations, etc. Traveler comes across various shades of life on his journey from a beggar to a petty-business owner, from never seen businesses to new society, new food, geographic areas, which could be familiar to unfamiliar depending on the places visited.
America might have been known to the world with a different name, if Columbus would not have travelled. India’s spices, culture would not have been introduced to the rest of the world if travelers like Fa-Hien, Vasco-da-Gama would not have visited India. Many countries, trades, seas, mountains might have not known to the world if Marco Polo, Tenzing Norgay and other countless travelers would not have moved out of their comfort. Religions like Buddhism, has been spread by the ancient philosophers, educators, who travelled. The famous Silk Route was known to traders and merchants who chose to travel to expand their businesses.

The inquisitiveness of the mankind has been so much grave so that Edvin Aldrin reached the moon and now trip to moon is one of the luxurious journeys. Now the next destination is Mars and there is no stopping.
Travel has gifted today’s world lot of Oceans, Countries, Regions, Mountains, technological innovations, different perspectives, etc..

Life is a journey… and live life to the fullest!

  2. Nice...very well said. On a philosophical side, we all are on journey of life. Journey from childhood to kid, kid to teen, teen to adulthood and so on and on. It also tells us that in this journey of life, we cannot carry everything with us. With each stage, we add new things to our life and leave few things behind, few materialistic things, few relations, few people. In this journey, how many things do we need really? Thinking like a traveller, can we really carry everything... nooo. So why we do we need so many things in our life...why we don't realize that...
